AVI-SPL UK&I proudly hosted its first-ever customer event in Ireland – the AVI-SPL VIBE Tech Meet-Up with Microsoft – at the iconic Croke Park in Dublin on Thursday 29th June 2023. This end-user session focused on topics related to achieving meeting equity in the hybrid era with Microsoft Teams.
This event was held at the beautiful setting of Croke Park in their exclusive All-Star Suites, providing the ideal venue for professionals to network, learn, and explore a variety of Microsoft Teams-related solutions.
The day began with warm welcomes, freshly brewed coffee, and delicious pastries, setting the stage for attendees to settle into their seats before hearing from an experienced panel of speakers from Microsoft and AVI-SPL as well as a special guests.
Michael Kellaway (AVI-SPL’s UK&I MD) delivered a gracious welcome, sharing an overview of AVI-SPL and its ambitious plans to flourish in Ireland, aiming to become the trusted workplace technology partner for the biggest companies in the region, replicating its global success.
Maeva Nguyen-Hong from Microsoft joined the event as a guest speaker, offering valuable insights from Microsoft’s Work Trend Index 2023 for Ireland, along with exciting updates on MS Teams.
A definite highlight of the event was the captivating Fireside Chat hosted by Joe Molloy, featuring the renowned Irish former professional rugby union player, Brian O’Driscoll, alongside Michael Kellaway (AVI-SPL MD UK&I), and Eamon O’Doherty (Logitech B2B Director) on the Leader’s panel. This engaging conversation delved into the challenges facing organisations, drawing parallels between challenges faced on the field and in the business world.
Following this inspiring Fireside Chat, attendees indulged in a well-deserved lunch, enjoying networking with peers and appreciating breath-taking views of Croke Park, the historic home of the GAA, boasting a rich legacy in Irish sporting life.
The afternoon continued with AVI-SPL team members sharing crucial insights into successful Microsoft Teams deployment and adoption, drawing from real-world experiences.
Mark Frost and Chris Irons from AVI-SPL UCC Business Practice took the stage to discuss the company’s approach to planning, deployment and support, shining a light on AVI-SPL’s global service offering. They explored the latest advancements in Teams Calling, Meetings, and Devices, as well as discussions around deploying rooms at scale.
The Microsoft Teams technology showcase area was a hit, captivating eager guests who immersed themselves in the capabilities of Microsoft Teams Rooms. With hands-on demos, attendees experienced the vast potential to revolutionize the way we meet and work. The custom-built display stands showcased various Teams-certified manufacturers, including Logitech, Poly | HP, Jabra, Neat and more, each demonstrating unique Microsoft Teams Rooms set-ups.
As the event drew to a close, visitors enjoyed drinks, engaging conversations, and networking opportunities. This left the AVI-SPL team reflecting on a wonderful day of interaction with end-users.
