Award-winning AVI-SPL Symphony saves the meeting for users of workplace technology

TAMPA, Fla. – February 4, 2020 –  AVI-SPL, the leading digital workplace services provider for organisations globally, today announced the launch of Symphony v4.9. With a focus on deployment acceleration and more intuitive user experience design, Symphony v4.9 enables organisations around the world to proactively monitor and control their collaboration technology estate quicker and easier.

AVI-SPL Symphony provides access to integrated end-to-end workflows, intuitive single-pane view, and increases actionable business intelligence. With additional insight on audiovisual (AV) and unified communications (UC) device performance, as well as the employee experience, Symphony v4.9 will help organisations make more informed decisions regarding their meeting room technology, ultimately increasing the usage and adoption of their investments.

With a single-pane view into its clients’ collaboration estate, AVI-SPL Symphony v4.9 will bring customers a single entity for onboarding devices, rooms, and locations. This includes uploading from an external spreadsheet, ability to conduct a mass change prior to import, perform a mass update post import, and device specific properties. This functionality will also aid in conflict resolution of data. As an enhancement to the Symphony Crestron Controller Module, allowing for monitoring of devices downstream from the controller, AVI-SPL Symphony will also automatically import devices managed by that controller.

“Symphony saves the meetings and ensures a positive user experience,” explained Frank Mehr, senior vice president of technology enabled services at AVI-SPL. “You can have all the latest and greatest technology available but if your users struggle, productivity and collaboration will suffer. Symphony helps organisations be proactive and makes sure that does not happen.”

The latest version also features a redesigned Room Details View, enhancing its user experience for technical personnel relying on Symphony. With favorites, sliders, drop-downs, and more, controlling room technology will be even easier with Symphony, bringing a more natural workflow to meeting production and improving the meeting experience.

According to a recent study conducted by market research and consulting firm Forrester, conference room utilization increased 20 percent for large enterprise organisations partnering with AVI-SPL. Forrester also found these organisations, on average, saved approximately 122,500 hours by accelerating meeting start times and increased their productivity value by $11.9 million over a three-year period due to an improved user experience.

AVI-SPL Symphony is available to organisations as part of AVI-SPL’s managed services, offering remote support 24/7 from its four Global Service Operations Centers, or as Symphony as a Service, allowing organisations to utilize their own internal technical resources.

AVI-SPL Symphony v4.9 will be demonstrated during ISE2020 in Amsterdam this month at booth #11-C155. Attendees can use AVI-SPL’s ‘VIP’ code (912672) for free entry into the show.
